McKenzie and Evan had been engaged since 2019 and finally got to tie the knot this fall! We had the most picturesque fall scenery and, surprisingly, weather in the 60’s for their outdoor celebration!
Both the ceremony and reception took place at The Felt Estate in Saugatuck, MI. The ceremony took place on the steps of the cutest little white chapel on the Estate’s grounds. Following the ceremony, guests headed to the mansion’s terrace to enjoy cocktail hour while the couple snuck away to capture photos at the beach.
McKenzie put so much thought into every single reception detail and it certainly paid off! The guest tables were covered in a textured linen and came to life with the pop of color in the whimsical floral arrangements. The look of the tent was transformed when the taper candles were lit before guests entered the space. Each table was thoughtfully designed with individual guests place cards in a beautiful dusty blue parchment paper with torn edges.
The fun atmosphere of the reception was set immediately when McKenzie and Evan were welcomed to the tent. They invited their guests to the dance floor to dance and celebrate with them to ‘September’ by Earth, Wind and Fire. Our absolute favorite part of the evening was a performance featuring the Michigan State University Drumline Alumni! Evan attended MSU with the dream of performing on the famous drumline and made the cut his freshman year! It was such an entertaining and personal element of the reception. Go Green!
We felt so honored to play a part in McKenzie and Evan’s beautiful day! We wish them all the joy in the world as husband and wife.
